Chapter 13
He could barely see straight as he forced himself into the bathroom and locked the door behind him. He hoped no one needed it for the next 5 minutes. He shook his head. Who was he kidding he was seconds away from coming in his pants like a child? Brayden closed his eyes as he unzipped his pants and gripped himself, pumping himself harshly. The thought of pulling those pretty white panties to the side under that table and feeling exactly how soaked she was, was all he needed. Not even 20 seconds and he finished into the urinal in front of him. He pressed forehead into the cool wall in front of him. Brayden was sure this was his greatest shame, but the sound Lillian made as he walked away at least made him think she might be sitting at the table squirming thinking about what he was doing in here. He washed his hands and splashed some water on his face.
“Get it together.” He whispered to himself and straightened himself out. “Okay.” He nodded at himself in the mirror and unlocked the door.
A sigh of relief, when no one was standing there waiting to get in, puffed out of him. He pulled out every ounce of charisma (or dignity) he still had and walked back over to the table.
She was still red in the face staring off into the restaurant, her leg bouncing rhythmically.
“Is that working for you?” He quipped from her other side. She whipped her head to look at him.
“I don’t know what you mean.” She said pointedly.
“Oh, I just thought maybe the thought of me getting off to the thought of you, still got you off. You know? My bad.” He grinned at her.
“I never know what you’re going to say, but I’m never expecting what does come out of your mouth.” She puffed.
“I like to keep it exciting.” Brayden shrugged as he sat back down.
He took a generous sip of his drink. It looked like Lillian had too. The liquor warmed him nicely, taking the edge off his fried nerves.
“How’re your summer classes going?” He asked innocently.
Lillian scoffed, took a long sip off her drink, looked him dead in the eyes, loosed a breath, and smiled.
“They’re really good, actually. Final for my last class is on Tuesday, then I have two and a half weeks off.”
“No kidding, excited to start your last year?” Maybe she thought it was a joke that he brought it up, but he inclined his head interestedly.
“Yeah, I am. It feels nice to be so close to done.”
“I bet.” A wink. “But seriously, I’m happy for you. You’ve worked hard.” Another sip off his drink.
“Thank you.” Lillian whispered, another small sip for her.
“What class was it? Your last minor classics course, right?” He encouraged.
“Hmm? It is yes, with this final coming up, I’ll officially be done my minor for my degree. Just a couple more math classes and I’m finished my whole degree. I’m really excited. I’ve already had some offers to TA for some of my professors while I do my master’s degree.” She chattered on.
Brayden hung on every word. Listening to her talk about her life, was not a privilege he often got, he was just happy to see her happy and excited. He just watched her bubble and smile while he asked questions and just listened to her.
These were the moments when he knew it wasn’t just the sex he craved from her. While he ached to be inside her, to feel her squeeze and clench around him, he also craved these domestic moments of being with her, listening to her, knowing her. When her eyes found his again, he knew it was all over his face. Just love, for her.
“How’s work?” She blurted out, abruptly.
He jumped and cocked his head quizzically.
“My work?”
“Yes.” She chuckled.
“My work? Its… well, it’s hard, and ugly… and not really a good dinner topic.” He smiled sheepishly as the platter arrived at their table.
“Thank you.” He muttered to the server.
She said her quick speech and departed. Lillian’s eyes were sad when they met his.
“Okay. Next time then.”
“Next time.” He nodded, and they dug in.
